Not just Indians but people across the globe turn to ‘herbal hacks’ in their day to day life. After all, why visit a doctor for minor health issues when you have your legendary ‘dadi maa ke nuskhe’?Moreover, they work miraculously! So, why not?
Recently, a Twitter user asked fellow netizens to suggest some homeopathy hacks and natural remedies that really work.
What’s one natural remedy or life hack your homeopathic friend (we all have one) taught you that REALLY works?
Masks, juices, house hacks…all of it.

Mine is fresh celery juice. I’ve been drinking it first thing every morning with no food for 30 mins after and my skin is clearing up, I’m less bloated and my food digests better throughout the day.
And I hate celery, but I be like… pic.twitter.com/z8gh6PCZYj

I'm that friend. I use garlic & honey tea for colds & throat; oregano oil drops to fight off illness, aloe for scrapes, egg white meringue for skin facials; rosemary oil with argan for scalp massage; coffee grounds for my plants; white vinegar for cleaning windows & mirrors.

Elderberry syrup. Actually some evidence it might be a somewhat effective antiviral. Given that there's nothing else to do for viruses unless they're really bad, and given that it grows like a weed many places, might as well pick some & make some syrup. (Tasty!)

an elderly stranger I met at a Costa Rican hot springs once told me to rub the inside of a banana peel on bug bites to reduce swelling & itching— it works like magic, but my friends think I imagined the wise man

Turmeric and yogurt for any skin irritations. It’s the only thing that soothes my eczema. (Turmeric is a natural antiseptic and was used by local troops during the British Raj. The yogurt is cooling) Mix it, spread it, out a wrap around it.

Bad cold, swollen throat, anything where you have to kill some kinda bacteria in your mouth: take a big spoonful of honey and let it sit wherever it's sore. Delicious and antibacterial

Homeopathy and natural remedies are two very different things. Homeopathy doesn't really work.

Sorry for being that person.
But I do have a (rather nasty) natural remedy: onion syrup can loosen the mucus when you have a bad cough. Wouldn't go near people for up to 24 hours though.

Nothing entirely eliminates the nausea/vomiting from my chemo (including all the nausea meds I’m on), but I recently began starting and ending every day drinking 20 oz of water with a fresh lemon squeezed into it. It’s made a HUGE difference.🍋🍋🍋

Cinnamon is good to sprinkle on your plants if they have any “wounds”—it’s a natural disinfectant.
I use peppermint oil in the mornings on my temples to help me wake up, or to quell headaches (but don’t get any in yr eyes—it burns badly).

My mom would smoke cigarettes and exhale the smoke on my tummy when I had a stomach ache. I always felt better…and it might have been a psychosomatic response.

My grandma used to grind oatmeal and mix it with brown sugar and honey and rub it on her face, elbows, and feet. She’d let it sit for a few minutes and rinse it off with tepid water. Her skin was beautiful. I started doing it a few years ago and it really works.

Mine is peppermint oil. I have NO BUGS in my apartment & haven't for the past 6 years I've been using the oil, unless a random fly sneaks in which -maybe- happens once per summer. I use peppermint oil in a diffuser perhaps once every other week now, or just when I feel like it.

I keep a small vial of peppermint, eucalyptus, spearmint, and cinnamon oil with a little grape seed mixed in. I rub it in my forehead and the back of my neck when I get migraines. Works like a charm.

Tea tree oil or manuka honey for pimples and cuts. Arnica gel for muscle pain and bruises (Boiron brand).

Ginger is like my go to. I add fresh ginger root to my smoothies everyday. Somedays when I need the extra kick, I chew on a finger of ginger. Helps my gut a lot. Ginger is a miracle.
