Having pets is an awesome thing one can do  and taking care of them is one of the great responsibilities that comes along with it. To make sure that your pet leads a long and healthy life, there are some things you should watch out for. But there is this one problem that you might not be noticing.

While this action may look incredibly cute sometimes, but it might pose a bigger health risk for your pet.

So what exactly is head pressing?

The affected pet stands close to a wall or any hard surface (eg a furniture or corner) and presses its head against it for extended periods of time. It almost always signifies that the pet is unwell.

Take a look at these pictures of the pets indulging in head pressing.

  • damaged reflexes
  • visual problems
  • seizures
  • getting stuck in corners
  • staring at walls

But, don’t confuse head pressing with head butting, where your pet affectionately rubs his head against a person or an animal.

By looking at these signs, you can potentially save the lives of your pets.

Watch out for these signs and take immediate action. Take care of them because affection and love is all your pet asks for!
