Guy Finds 3-5 Days Old Baby In A Closed Auto, Asks Twitter For Help. Mumbai Police Responds!

In this dark, bleak and disappointing world we live in, for every terrible incident that occurs, there are a couple of good deeds that restore your faith in humanity. A Good Samaritan from Mumbai recently proved this when he rescued a baby from abandonment with help from Mumbai Police.

Last night, Twitter user @Jugadu_banda, Aman, tweeted pictures of a 3-5 days old baby girl who he found abandoned in a closed-up auto rickshaw in Mumbai.

Several people suggested that he call the police and get himself and the baby somewhere safe. However, according to Aman, there was no response and the baby’s condition was getting worse.

And the non-responsiveness of the police is what led to one concerned Twitter user tweeting to Mumbai Police’s official Twitter handle and asking them to look into the situation urgently.

Thank the Social Media Gods, and the people manning the Mumbai Police account, there was an assurance of help right away!

It seemed a case of ‘help first, tweet later’, because within a minute of Mumbai Police’s tweet, Aman shared a picture of the baby in the arms of a female constable.

It is quite possible that the police had finally responded to Aman’s call and sent their team to bring them in right away before tweeting about it. Way to go!

It looks like Aman was flooded with inquiries about the baby girl’s health and safety. So immediately after the proceedings were done, he tweeted a picture of himself holding the little one!

Best news? The baby, after receiving all the love and care and food, her condition had improved and she had stopped shivering too.

You’d think that Aman had helped all he could and he would consider his part fulfilled. However, this morning, he was already back to updating concerned folks about the little angel he saved!

He was even overseeing her adoption!

Isn’t that amazing?

Even the Mumbai Police lauded Aman for being a God-sent help to the little girl!

There have been so many cases of abandoned babies receiving help from total strangers, who’ve gone on to not just find good homes for them but also, in some cases, adopt them as their own.

It’s quite heartening to see the true spirit of humanity being kept alive like this. Plus, the occasional reminder that social media is not just for posting selfies and hate comments is always welcome!

Kudos Aman, Mumbai Police and the Tweeple who help when called!
