Some of the incredibly sexist behaviors are witnessed during IPL matches in India. From cameramen zooming into women’s faces for the world to ogle at to people harassing the wives of cricketers on social media, it is shameful to see some of the despicable ways in which women inside the stadium are treated.
Here’s an example. A man recorded himself eve teasing IPL cheerleaders standing in a group inside the video and shared it on social media. While the source account of this video is unknown, it is being shared by many meme pages on social media.
“Aap ko dekhne aye hai hum. Match toh kabhi bhi dekh sakte hai TV pe.”
And then when a foreign cheerleader looks at him, the guy says, “Dekho line mar rahi hai woh.”

People online on Instagram condemned the behavior of the guy harassing the cheerleaders and said how he is dragging our country’s name through the dirt. Here’s what some of them said:
When people condemn such behavior on social media, there are hundreds who justify incidents like this calling it a “joke” or chant “Not All Men”. But the reality is that even though “not all men” behave like this, uncountable men do which traumatises uncountable women. When spotted, such people should be escorted out of the stadium for unruly behavior. Don’t you think?
