What’s common between the movies ‘The Lunchbox’, ‘Masaan’, ‘Pagglait’, ‘That Girl in Yellow Boots’ and the Oscar-winning documentary ‘Period, End of Sentence’? All of these wonderful movies/short films have been produced by Guneet Monga’s production company Sikhya Entertainment. The ace filmmaker has been nominated for a BAFTA in the past and she has also co-founded a cinema collective named Indian Women Rising along with Ekta Kapoor and Tahira Kashyap, reports Zee News.
News18, reports that now she will be conferred with the second highest civilian French honour i.e. the honour of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier dans I’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres). The Ambassador of France to India will be felicitating her in Delhi tomorrow.
