Cop’s 22 YO Daughter Gets Raped And Murdered By Friends Who Stuffed Her Body In A Suitcase

All of us regard friends to be an important part of our lives and trust them with all our heart. The people we choose to be our friends are supposed to have our back and protect us whenever possible. Unfortunately, this was not the case for a girl whose friends raped and murdered her on the pretext of “hanging out”.

The 22-year-old daughter of a Nagpur-based Assistant Sub-inspector was brutally raped and murdered by two of her friends on 4th September, in Ambarnath, Mumbai. She was working as an IT engineer with a firm based in Vikhroli. The accused, Nikhilesh Patil, met the victim in Pune along with his friend Nilesh, in his car.

They took her to another friend, Akshay Valode’s house, in Ambarnath. On reaching there, Nilesh went out of the house following which Nikhilesh and Akshay took turns raping her.

The victim threatened to report their crime to the police. Both the accused got scared of the threat and proceeded to strangulate her. They stuffed her dead body in a suitcase and dumped it in a secluded spot near Belgaum.

However, the dumping of the suitcase made Nilesh suspicious and on further probing, the accused confessed their crime to him. They were convinced by him to confess their crime to the police as they would be caught even if they tried to flee. The accused confessed their crime in Ratnagiri Police station. They were arrested and further investigations have been launched into the incident.

Crime against women have been on a steady rise during these past few years, ending mostly with victim blaming which leaves the women exposed to the trauma and no justice whatsoever. It is shameful that women cannot even trust their friends around them.
