It goes without saying that Genelia and Riteish make one of the sweetest couples in Bollywood. We have watched them in a couple of movies together. The most recent one after which they got married was ‘Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya’.
Genelia and Riteish tied the knot in the year 2012. She says that she is extremely proud of her husband as he is a self-made man!
“Riteish has gone through a lot of struggle. His father, Vilasrao Deshmukh, was elected the chief minister of Maharashtra twice. But Riteish chose to pave his own path. His father was very proud of Riteish, and so am I.”
Hailing from a political background, Riteish Deshmukh was always under the microscope. His father being the reputed CM of Maharashtra and Retiesh doing objectionable roles in movies was not initially taken in good spirit by people.
Riteish and Genelia, who started off their film careers together in the movie ‘Tujhe Mei Kasam’ hit it off as best friends offsets in no time. Genelia now is taking a break from her acting career to raise a family. She says,
“Whenever an exciting project comes my way, I will definitely take it up. I have never said that I won’t. Yes, after I got married, I wanted a break for a while, because I had worked a lot for 12 years.”
Genelia also adores Riteish Deshmukh because he is not only a great father but is also a great son. She says that he respects, values and cherishes his family.
“I always tell Riteish, ‘If my sons are half the son you are, then I will feel like the luckiest person in the world.”
Aren’t they just super adorable together?
