Gujarati Folk Singer Geetaben Rabari Raises ₹2.25 Crore For Ukraine By Doing Concerts In US

Towards the end of February, Russia launched its military operations in Ukraine and the two nations went into war. It has been over a month since, and thousands of lives have been lost from both sides, according to CBC News. Besides the alarming number of casualties, Ukraine is currently amidst a massive economic crisis because of which many celebrities from across the world have come together to help the country.

Among them is Gujarati folk singer Geetaben Rabari who has been performing for massive crowds of NRIs in the United States in places like Atlanta, Kentucky and Houston. The audience showered the singer with dollar bills as contributions to Ukraine.

Geetaben took social media to share pictures of herself on stage, all decked up, while countless notes are on the ground around her.

According to Times Now, Geetaben Rabari raised Rs 2.25 crore (300,000 USD) for Ukraine with her performance.

“Had a great Lok Dayro show at Louisville, Kentucky, USA 🇺🇸 for such an interactive live audience. Sharing some spiritual moments with you all,” she wrote on Instagram.
