What do most people do when they are heartbroken? They sulk, they whine, they cry. They listen to sad songs and promise themselves that they are never going to fall in love again.
However, this one gentleman, Rafael Mantesso, found a brilliant way to keep himself distracted and used some creativity with his pet in his empty home. On his 30th birthday, when his wife left him with nothing but his dog (funnily named Jimmy Choo), he decided to create an imaginary wonderful world around his dog each time it would lie around.
The result was a series of fun, tongue-in-cheek illustrations, portraying his Bull Terrier dreaming of shoes, relaxing on a sofa with a martini by its side and turning canine DJ on the decks. He set the illustrations against a matte white background, making them humorous and eye-catching with bright pops of iridescent color in hot pink, copper and electric blue.
