F.R.I.E.N.D.S Plot Twist About Phoebe And Mike Is Going To Break A Lot Of Hearts Tonight!

That one show that gave us friendship goals and made us practically beg God to give us friends like these pack of six when we grow up. We basically binge watched this show over and over again (we still do) and now it feels like we’ve lived the lives of Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, Ross, Joey, and Rachel.

These six feel like our own friends. Especially Phoebe and her weird quirkiness. On that note, there is a titbit of gossip that you probably didn’t know.

Phoebe was actually not supposed to end up with Mike but instead, she was to get back with David, the science guy.

 

When she chose Mike (Paul Rudd) over David (Hank Azaria) who made a brief comeback after leaving for Minsk for a research project in Season 2, a lot of hearts broke.

 

In a recent interview, Hank Azaria was asked what happened there and here is what he had to say.

“No, I didn’t know that was the end of David. The plan always was kind of to bring him back.”

 

He humoredly blames Paul Rudd’s charms for the exit of David from Phoebe’s life forever.

“I think, honestly, what happened was Paul Rudd is so awesome that they sort of found a groove with him and [my character] became more of just the grist for that mill,” said Azaria, who added, “As opposed to the other way around.”

 

He continued to explain why Mike was a better fit, because of the devilishly funny and cute Paul Rudd.

“He’s a handsome devil. He’s actually annoyingly handsome. He shouldn’t really be allowed to be that handsome. He’s like the Tom Brady of comedy.”

I like Mike better anyways. What about you? 😀
