French Tourists Miraculously Escape Group Of Cheetahs In Safari Park, Act Caught On Camera

Whenever we sit down to watch one of those wildlife shows, the instructors explain in detail on what to do when you face a wild animal. If it’s a bear, they tell us to play dead. Then if it’s a tiger, they tell us to make ourselves big and look brave. And while you might be thinking that it’s easier said than done, a group of French tourists did something similar to that and lived to tell the tale.

In a video uploaded by Robin de Graaf, a family can be seen being surrounded by a group of cheetahs. Tensions rise as they keep drawing closer while one of them tries to fend the animals off.

According to reports, this incident occurred in Netherlands’ Beekse Bergen Safari Park on Monday. The uploader was in the park when he saw two cheetahs run past their car and towards a family that was later identified as French.

This family had already committed the mistake of overlooking the safety warnings and stepping out of their car. But they dealt with their predicament bravely by appearing strong and shooing away the hungry animals. And as soon as they were at a safe distance, the family boarded their car and drove off to safety.

The video is almost unwatchable because of the numerous times the cheetahs come this close to tearing them to pieces. However, as they were able to make it out alive, we should be thankful to the French woman’s bravery and presence of mind. Hope they’ve learnt a lesson and will considering staying in their vehicle on their next safari.
