We were all in love with how beautifully Freida Pinto and Dev Patel complimented each other. With the way, both of them looked at each other with nothing but absolute love in their eyes. And then we were greeted by the sad news about their break up! Didn’t we all wonder what exactly happened to the gorgeous couple? Well, Freida Pinto has revealed the answer.
In a recent interview, the 32-year-old actress talked about having a midlife crisis at the age of 28. She said,
“For me, it started at the age of 28, 29. Maybe it’s the body. Maybe it’s something about moving into womanhood from being a girl. You start asking, “What do I really want?”’
When this mid-life crisis hit Freida, she already had everything one could ask for in life. Freida said,
“There comes a point where you’ve got everything you want – career, love, family – but you’ve ignored yourself. Life hits you and you think, ‘What about me? What do I really want?’
For the first time, I finally understand the concept of self-love and self-care. I’m single and happy, and busy. I haven’t been single for a long time. It’s like being born again.”
And finally, she talks about Dev Patel with nothing but affection in her words. The reason for their break up is actually nothing personal and she said,
She also said, that both of them still share a beautiful bond and that they will always be friends. She said,
“You can’t share such a monumental shift in life, then not be friends. That would be the saddest thing ever.”
Sometimes, we all go through phases of introspection and we realise that we want something completely different in life.
