When it comes to the whimsical ways of cooking, nobody in this world does it better than Turkish-Kurdish chef Nusret Gökçe. If that doesn’t sound familiar, the man is better known as ‘Salt Bae’, whose unconventional ways of preparing meat has earned him millions of followers on social platforms. And of course, how can we forget his distinctive cobra-like maneuver which gave birth to a legion of memes!
He broke into fame after one of his videos salting meat went viral in 2017. And guess what? The immense popularity he gained from his eccentric style of cooking has helped him launch a series of restaurants in the Middle East, New York, and Miami.
However, while he himself is a professional in the stunts he does, all the staff in his eateries, aren’t. And probably that’s the reason behind a horrific accident that took place at one of them, on Thursday evening.
In an accident that took place at the Nusret Etiler Steakhouse restaurant, Istanbul, a flame stunt went horribly wrong causing severe injuries to at least four customers.
In a video which is going viral, we can see a bartender of the restaurant pouring an unidentified liquid from a white jar into the fire. As soon as he spills the liquid, the fire breaks out massively initiating chaos among the customers who were seated a foot away from the ridge.
According to an Indian Express report, all the four people who suffered harsh injuries were tourists.
However, the one who experienced the cruelest bruises was Krisryna Tresnakova, a tourist from the Czech Republic. She came to the restaurant with her boyfriend Viktor Hajicek, who was also injured. Throwing light on the same, a report said,
“Czech Republic tourist Krisryna Tresnakova was badly burned when her dress caught fire during the show on Thursday evening.”
All the casualties have been admitted to the Sisli Etfal Hospital, added the same report.

While stunts can be extremely entertaining and pleasing to the eye, it should only be performed by experts or professionals. Having said that, we sincerely hope for the speedy recovery of the people injured.
