Emma Watson Wins The FIRST Gender Neutral Award In History And Her Speech Is Everything!

Emma Watson has been one of the many noteworthy pioneers of modern-day feminism. She has fought for women’s rights and spoken about it proudly, everywhere.

Time and again, she has voiced her opinion for principles she believes in and has won hearts all over. Recently, when she was criticised for a photo shoot, she said that what she preaches isn’t a ‘stick to beat women with‘. Feminism is to empower women.

When MTV Movie and TV awards gave out it’s first ever GENDERLESS Award, who better on the receiving end than Emma Watson! Accepting the ‘Best Actor In A Movie’ award for ‘Beauty And The Beast’, firebrand Emma gave an empowering speech!

She applauded MTV for taking such a giant step forward towards women equality! Congratulating them she said, “MTV’s move to create a genderless award for acting will mean something different to everyone.” She also goes on to add what this award meant to her,

She was overwhelmed by the gesture. Winning against amazing actors like, Hugh Jackman, Taraji P Henson and many others who were nominated in the same category, Emma said that it felt very ‘inclusive, patient and loving’.

Emma also said that she was terrified to sing in the movie! But the character appealed to her in ways she believed she could do justice to it. Talking about Belle she said,
