D For ‘Daaru’ & P For ‘Piyo’ Is What This Teacher In Chhattisgarh Teaches His Students

Teaching is considered a very noble profession. What can be a better and satisfying profession than imparting wisdom to people (especially children)? But this man makes us question this.

A teacher named Shivbaran can be seen writing ‘Daaru’ and ‘Piyo’ on the class blackboard in a government rum primary school in Chhattisgarh.

It was found out after a local journalist filmed his act on Friday. He was seen asking his students to repeat those words many a time. If you see this video, he can be seen confessing that he was drunk and that he has done this earlier too. On being asked why he does this, he says, “I also teach them according to the syllabus.”

The district administration has vowed to investigate this matter.

“Being drunk at the workplace is against the ideal behavior of a government official especially for a teacher. If this has been done by a teacher then we will investigate and take strict action against him,” said Korea Sanjiv Jha (District Collector).

However, this teacher apologised afterwards and stated that he didn’t drink and he has left this habit.

Well, all we can question right now is the plight and the ‘learnings’ of these students. Also, the authorities need to take a strict action against him so that these kind of acts are not rendered laid-back.
