This 24-Year-Old Cancer Patient Named Her TUMOUR After Donald Trump And We’re Not Surprised

Life does not offer a fair deal to anyone. The grass may seem greener on the other side but the truth is that everyone has their own problems to deal with. However, it is up to every individual whether they want to sit in a corner and sulk or face it and kick life back in the nuts.

So when Elise Stapleton, a 24-year-old from Cardiff, Wales was diagnosed with Hodggrakin lymphoma, a rare form of cancer in September 2016, she chose the second option.

Due to the diagnosis, Elise had to go through intensive chemotherapy sessions which lead to her hair loss, nausea, diarrhoea and fatigue, but she did not pull out of the ordeal.

What else Elise did was naming her tumour after the newly-elected President of the United States, Donald Trump. And she has her reasons for doing so.

“I decided to name it ‘Donald’ as in Donald Trump – one big, ugly, useless mass that is good at one thing: hurting people.”

Elise also started a blog during her cancer treatment to share her feelings with the people rather than running away from them.

“I set up the blog because I just wanted to address the elephant in the room. It was really important to me because it felt empowering and it gave me a voice. People were shocked when they read about it all. They couldn’t believe that in the blog I was laughing and joking about it but I just said if you don’t laugh you cry.”

Elise may have been facing a very difficult time in her life but it has not affected her sense of humour one bit. Her story is an inspiration for everyone struggling in life.
