Meet Divyanshi Jain, Lucknow’s 18-YO Who Scored 100% In Class 12 CBSE Exam

It’s that time of the year when our relatives show up at our homes out of nowhere and suddenly become concerned about our future. It’s time for results!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared this year’s class 12 board results. While most students who appeared for the examination would be dreading to check their results on the official website, this girl from Lucknow must be on cloud nine after finding out that she aced the exam with flying colours.

18-year-old Divyanshi Jain bagged a perfect score and got 100% marks in the exam. As unbelievable as it sounds, Divyanshi did get 100 out of 100 on all her six subjects bringing her total to a perfect 600, reported Hindustan Times.

“This is unbelievable. I am elated and surprised at the same time,” said Divyanshi, a student of Navyug Radiance Senior Secondary School, Lucknow. Divyanshi didn’t lose a single mark in the subjects that she appeared for except Geography, which got cancelled due to Covid-19. An elated Divyanshi credits her parents and teachers for her amazing feat.

“My teachers guided me throughout the year and I was able to follow a systematic routine due to my parents.”

“Both of these factors allowed me to concentrate on my studies and score good marks. I also made it a point to focus on revision and mock tests that helped me to score better.” She also added that following a healthy routine and getting ample time to sleep also helped her.

Talking about her future aspirations, the talented student said, “I want to study history further. I have applied for admissions in BA (H) History at Delhi University.” CBSE Regional Officer (RO) Shweta Arora said, “Divyanshi got maximum marks in the Prayagraj region. She appeared in five out of six exams.”

Her school principal added that they knew she will top the exam. “I am amazed at Divyanshi’s achievement. We were confident that she will top but the marks she got are beyond our expectations.”

People online were taken aback on hearing about her results:

Well, even though I am super proud of this wonder-girl for doing the impossible, I am surely not going to let my mom know of her commendable feat. I don’t want to spend the rest of the week listening to her sarcastic taunts.
