10 Struggles Of Making Plans With A Friend Who Always Ditches

Ditcher: A person who makes plans with a person/group but flops last minute; pulls a no-show or a word that you would use to refer to your friend. “Let’s plan something.” are their favourite words. Their excitement level is maximum when it comes to planning and they’re the first ones to back out because #ditcher.

It’s a struggle making plans with them, and its a bigger struggle to not get pissed at them when they do this:

1. They will be the first ones to make plans

 

2. You always have to get another friend along as a backup, in case they ditch

 

3. Knowing their habit, you keep yourself mentally prepared about them ditching you any minute

But even after that, you feel bad when they cancel the plan.

 

4. Making plans with them doesn’t get you excited because you know they might just cancel last minute

 

5. And so, when they do cancel a plan, you are not disappointed anymore

 

6. You and your other friends bet on the probability of them ditching you last minute

Friend: 100 bucks says he’s going to make it to the party.
Me: 200 bucks says he will ditch us last minute. You wait and watch.

 

7. When they enthusiastically create a whatsapp group to make plans, you are first one to leave the group

Because you know the plan will eventually fall through.

 

8. If accidentally the plan does work out, you are not sure if you should feel happy that the plan worked out…

 

…Or to get pissed that it worked out after being cancelled for the 100th time

 

9. You have a revenge fantasy about how to ditch them for once

And you feel awesome when you are the one to cancel the plan every once in a while

 

10. And no matter how hard it is with them, you know that they remain the most fun people to hang out with…

…and that’s what keeps you together.
