Late SSR’s Former Manager Disha Salian’s Family Writes Letter To President Seeking Justice

Bollywood went into a state of shock when celebrity manager Disha Salian died an unfortunate death back in June 2020. She allegedly passed away after falling from a building which is in the Jankalyan area of Mumbai’s Malad.

And it has been months that Salian is gone from the world. But her parents are still unable to grieve in peace and are allegedly being harassed. Hence, her family wrote to the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, in the hope to get justice for their late daughter.

Naming Union Minister Narayan Rane and his son Nitish Rane, her parents said in the letter that Disha’s name is being unnecessarily politicized.

“We (me and my wife) have appealed to the important people of this country to stop the politicians from maligning our daughter’s name,” India Today quoted her father as saying.

He added, “We have also sent the same petition to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Uddhav Thackeray, Leader of Opposition Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Justice of Mumbai High Court.”

Through the letter, Disha’s father said:

“Some people active on social media started connecting her death with the subsequent episode of the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajpoot and started spreading imaginary and factually incorrect information on social media and on news channels. Some politicians like Narayan Rane and Nitesh Rane jumped into the issue because of rivalry with Aaditya Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray to settle their personal scores, dragged us into their political battle and have made our lives miserable.”

Days after condoling her death, ‘Kai Po Che’ actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. It has been reported that Union Minister Narayan Rane alleged that Disha was a victim of rape and her death was also later linked to that of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Addressing this, her parents said that the false accusations are maligning their daughter’s reputation and their family’s image.

“As we were aware and also confirmed later with her friends that Disha had not come out of the flat since 4th of June 2020. The CCTV installed in that building will disclose the said fact. However, Narayan Rane and Nitesh Rane kept on saying that some persons entered the flat and raped Disha. We find it very offensive and we had to hide our faces from society. Both of us couldn’t grieve in peace and have been deeply hurt by these people and their baseless, insulting, unfounded character assassination of our daughter.”

Disha’s parents also threatened to end their lives if appropriate steps are not taken against the father-son duo.

“It has affected our lives so much and made it so immensely miserable that we sometimes think just to end our lives,” the letter read.

A month ago, Disha’s parents had filed a complaint against Union Minister Narayan Rane and his MLA son Nitesh Rane following which the Malwani police had registered an FIR against them.

Investigations into Disha’s death have been closed after the Mumbai police found no evidence of foul play. But Nitesh Rane says that he has a pen drive and other documents that prove that Disha was gangraped and murdered, reported Times Of India.

We hope the grieving parents get justice soon.
