Diljit Dosanjh Finally Breaks His Silence Over Harshvardhan’s Comments On The Filmfare Award

Harshvardhan Kapoor recently lashed out at Filmfare after losing the best debutant award to Diljit Dosanjh. The actor, who made his debut in Mirzya, earned a lot of critical acclaim for the role. However, despite the praise, Harshvardhan was not pleased.

The actor even went on to express his displeasure on Twitter. While Indian Twitter responded vehemently to the actor’s tweets, Diljit Dosanjh hadn’t broken his silence, until now. Here’s what he finally had to say.

“I am not hurt. I am not sad. I am thankful to Filmfare Awards for the honour that they gave me. I don’t think I was deserving enough. It’s a big award (and) I think they would have seen something in me and so they gave me the award. For me the love of my fans matter the most and that’s the biggest award for me. I love Harshvardhan Kapoor. I also like his father Anil Kapoor, he is a superstar.”

The ‘Udta Punjab’ actor also referenced a few other actors who were considered debutants but have had prior film experience in regional film industries.

“I think actors like Fawad Khan and Dhanush have acted in other languages (referring to Pakistani and South Indian Films). I read about it. I think in Bollywood one gets publicity even without asking for it.”

Diljit finally cleared the air regarding his opinion about the whole affair. What do the readers think about his response?
