Desi internet collectively lost its calm after Coachella officially announced that Punjabi artist Diljit Dosanjh will be performing this year at the annual music and arts festival in California. It was a very big deal because Dosanjh would be sharing the stage with international artists such as Blackpink. What’s even more interesting is that Diljit is the first Punjabi male artist to perform at Coachella.
Diljit’s performance took place over the weekend and he was an instant hit just after he entered the stage. He made an announcement to the audience saying that it didn’t matter if they didn’t understand the Punjabi language because all they had to do was vibe to his songs.
“Punjabi aagaye Coachella oye!” he yells and sets the entire crowd in frenzy.
