Delhi Men Try To Rob Couple But Realize They Are Broke, So They Give Them ₹100 Instead

Oftentimes when you are returning home late at night, there is always this fear of getting robbed by unknown people riding a bike. You tend to cling to your belongings and rush home, especially if you’re walking down a dark alley.

This fear of a couple in Delhi came true. In Farsh Bazar locality of Shahdara, a couple was walking when they encountered two drunk men riding a scooter. The two men tried to rob them at gunpoint. However, what unfolded next can be called surprising.

When the two men tried to rob the couple, they found that the woman was wearing artificial jewellery. When they searched the man’s pockets, only a Rs 20 note was retrieved, reported News18.

Taking pity on the couple, the robbers gave them Rs 100 instead and left them alone.

Here’s a look at a video capturing the incident:

This attempted robbery took place on June 21. After a CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media, the police got to work and nabbed the two accused men – Dev Verma, a GST accountant, and Harsh Rajput, who works for a private company.

“We have successfully recovered the pistol and the scooter used in the crime, along with the seizure of 30 mobile phones. We have filed four cases against them, and the investigation is currently underway,” claimed DCP Shahdara Rohit Meena.

Seems like some robbers can be kind-hearted as well! 😛
