When we were younger, we used to have a lot of toys. Those were pre-smartphone days and our eyes lit up on seeing action figures. Be it superheroes, power rangers or animals – action figures were collected and bragged about like trophies. And the coolest, most coveted ones were of dinosaurs. But did you ever see anyone buy a 15-feet allosaurus?
Jerry Adams, a 58-year-old resident of Cwmbran, Wales just bought a life-size model of a Dinosaur and installed it in his garden.
Alan the allosaurus previously belonged to Dan-Yr-Ogof, The National Showcaves Centre. They were going to replace him with newer models so they decided to auction him off, all proceeds going to charity. Jerry was the highest bidder on eBay (at £1,600 or Rs. 1,48,000) and became the new owner of the plastic dinosaur.
The dinosaur caused quite a stir while being transported to its new home and has become the star attraction of the neighbourhood ever since.
Who’d have thought a dinosaur moving house would cause such a stir?! 😂
Jerry has set up a JustGiving page to raise even more money (and awareness) for @JDRFUK and the incredible work they do. Please give what you can via the following link! 😀🦖https://t.co/oDRDCvU8nJ pic.twitter.com/sWxoSQhTOp

Jerry told Wales Online why he decided to purchase it,
“I just thought it was a brilliant idea to raise money for the charity. I’ve got 12 grandchildren – two with autism and one with Asperger’s – and when the dinosaur arrived they spent ages rubbing their hands over it and just feeling what it was like.”
Here are more pictures that’ll make you wish you had one in your house too!
What a sweet and thoughtful gift for your grandchildren. Jerry sure is setting some serious #GrandfatherGoals.
