This year, the Afghanistan cricket team managed to win everyone’s hearts on the field. They beat powerful teams like Pakistan and England and finished with four wins out of nine. They finished in 6th place in the 10-contender tournament and qualified for the Champions Trophy 2025 which is set to take place in Pakistan.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the Afghanistan opener, is winning several hearts off the field as well. Late into the night, he was spotted distributing Rs 500 notes to beggars asleep on the streets of Ahmedabad. This took place after Afghanistan’s last match against South Africa on November 10.

A guy who lived in the area recorded Gurbaz’s kind gesture and wrote, “Rahmanullah Gurbaz silently gave money to the needy people on the streets of Ahmedabad so they could celebrate Diwali. A beautiful gesture.”
