The struggle for getting your currency exchanged during the demonetisation spell is real. And exacting, too. While you are queuing up at banks and ATMs to perform the Herculean task of exchanging notes or withdrawing some cash, people apart from clicking selfies are doing some really crazy stuff to the new Rs 2000 rupees note. They tried proving that it is fireproof, waterproof and wrinkle-free and what not. We ain’t kidding!
1. This guy tried burning it.
Why on Earth would you do that?
2. This one dipped it in a bowl of Sprite.
What happened to only Pyaas, baki sab bakwas?
3. Then dipped in boiling water.
Duh!
4. Dropped it in a washing machine.
Note ki safai taken to some other level.
5. Another guy washed it under running water.
Arey, but why?
6. This one ironed it after soaking it in water.
Makes sense a bit during monsoon days. But still…Now?
7. And he just crushed it.
Poor Gandhiji!
Not only this, people are even putting their notes to what they call ‘hardcore’ test and seeing if the colour does come off or not and if they have a fake or a real note.
To all these ‘bravehearts’ I just wanna say: Staph it, please. Stop misguiding others by these tricks. The notes are very much real and too valuable. We, Indians, are trying too hard to lay our hands on one note, and here you guys are manhandling purple Gandhiji!
