Just like some people who are scared of snakes and cockroaches, there are people who are scared of dogs. But some dog owners refuse to accept that their pet can be scary to others. For them, their dogs are harmless. But the thing is, a lot of dogs can be unpredictable – they may bark or attack, thereby intimidating others. Hence, there are ways in which owners can ensure the safety of others around their dogs. One of the ways is by muzzling them.
However, one woman in a Noida apartment complex refused to muzzle her pet dog on the lift despite a couple repeatedly requesting her to do so. In a video that’s being shared online, the couple is visibly scared of the dog but wants to get on the lift. The dog already had a muzzle hanging from its neck. But the woman did not budge. She said no to muzzling her dog.
The husband mentioned that his wife was heavily pregnant and in case the dog bit her, it would be unsafe for her pregnancy. A massive fight erupted between the two parties. Hilariously, the dog remained incredibly calm during the entire altercation.

This started a debate on Twitter. On one hand, people online couldn’t understand why the owner just wouldn’t muzzle her dog and end the fight or take a separate lift. They highlighted that not everyone is comfortable being around dogs and owners should understand that.
I’m a dog lover (I know, clichéd), but dogs can be unpredictable, especially when they are in the confined spaces of high-rise buildings. A comfortable muzzle should be used that does not annoy the dog. Or, if there is no emergency, let them go first.

Not an animal lover, but I can understand both sides logic. Personal safety vs love for pet. Both are right in their own place, but sometimes, it’s difficult explaining this to someone who is so emotional about their pet. Better to just take the next/other lift. Live and let live

On the other hand, there were many who slammed the couple for harassing the dog owner. They expressed that the dog had a calm demeanour and did not appear harmful at all. They suggested that the couple could have taken another lift, or waited for that particular lift to arrive again.
Unnecessarily making an issue out of everything, the dog is being held tightly by the owner and doesn’t look aggressive at all. Also, there is a civilised way of asking things, whipping out your phone to record and commanding people is certainly not the way.
