After Rahul Gandhi, Hackers Also Hacked Congress’ Twitter And They Didn’t Hold Back!

With the advent of the internet and social media, a new kind crime was born. Criminals utilised the vast reaches of the internet to remotely break into accounts and extract information from or simply defame the account owner. The most recent victim of such a crime seems to be Rahul Gandhi and the Indian National Congress (INC).

Just yesterday, the official Twitter of Rahul Gandhi (@OfficeOfRG) was hacked by a notorious hacker collective who called themselves Legion. Here are a few of the tweets that were sent out post the hack.

The tweets from Rahul Gandhi’s handle have since been deleted.

However, just this morning, the hacker collective even hacked into the official Twitter handle of the INC and sent out an array of offensive tweets.

1. This was their first tweet tell everyone they were in.

4. Of course, they had to display some brawn.

Such an incident just goes to show that cybersecurity is a serious concern and must never be taken lightly. In today’s age of super-connectivity, where everyone across the globe is connected, a small collective with access to high-speed internet could wreck havoc on an international scale.
