Unlike His Name, ‘Coco The Jolly Dog’ Is Pessimistic AF And These Comics Are Just Hilarious

What do you think when you think of dogs? We all visualise them as happy creatures who adore their owners and frolic around the house. It is believed that dogs can instantly uplift your mood because they appear to be smiling all the time. Right? Wrong.

Norwegian writer and animator, Ozan Drøsdal gives us a completely different perspective inside the mind of our fuzzy balls of happiness and turns out they are pretty dark. In the comic series, ‘Coco the Jolly Dog’, he shows us how a few/certain dogs can be pessimistic as well.

After looking at these comics, you might also accept Coco as your spirit animal just like I have, simply because he gets the essence of life. Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself!

1. No! I’m edgy okay! Stop calling me cute hooman.

2. This is legit me. Small but deadly. *evil stare*

3. Not to mention an exercise in futility.

4. All I can think of is death, while I hang my tongue out and enjoy the breeze…

5. Ain’t nobody gonna say ‘No’ to kibble!

6. Hey, you can’t blame him for wanting to create fluffy puppies now, can you?

7. This is me every weekend.

8. I am very confused right now. Did he like the folded ear?

9. Oh, life! Thou art a heartless bitch!

10. That was weirdly anti-climactic.

11. I prefer to call this one, ‘Typical Monday morning’.

12. Finally, someone gets the ‘lazing-around-all-day-and-still-being-tired’ phenomenon!

13. Awww… No matter how pessimist Coco gets, he still loves his hooman!

14. Nobody gets to be the ‘good boy’ as long as Coco is around.

15. I feel you, Coco!

16. This is me with junk food, except I just don’t smell it I eat it.

17. Coco be like: Don’t tell me what to do.

18. Me: Wants to go out. Throws a hissy fit because don’t want to change. Also, nothing to wear.

Now I don’t know about you, but the pessimist in me is dancing with joy. And, not to stereotype or anything but this has to be the most cat-like dog I’ve ever seen.
