Chris Gayle comes across as a very happy-go-lucky man. He gives off the vibes that he is really enjoys playing cricket when he does.
But this vivacious nature wasn’t always there. He started appreciating and living life to the fullest after a life-changing event that happened in 2005.
Not any people know of it, but Chris Gayle had a heart surgery in 2005. He had a hole in his heart and not even his parents knew about it until after surgery.
“Back then, I realized the importance of life. It was a life-changing moment for me. Thereafter I decided to enjoy my life to the fullest and I am still doing so”
He had to miss the third and final test match against Australia that year. But he learned an important lesson – appreciate life to the fullest.
And not just the heart surgery, parenthood also changed his perspective towards life. It made him more mature and responsible.
Chris Gayle had a lot of struggle growing up too. But due to his entertaining side, not many people know about the other side he does not show.
The heart surgery did not hold him back from smashing those sixes for sure!
