1. The most popular star of the Telugu Film Industry starred in 149 feature films out of which he won 9 Filmfare Awards in South.

 

2. He was the first South Indian actor to be invited to attend the Oscars in 1987.

4. He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award, for his contributions to Indian cinema.

 

5. After retiring from movies, Chiranjeevi established a party called ‘Prajarajyam’ (Reign of People) and later merged it with Congress.

 

6. First he served as a Rajya Sabha member and then was sworn in as the Union Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Ministry of Tourism.
