Woman Delivers Baby In The Hospital Corridor, Photographer Captures The Raw Emotion Of Childbirth

Childbirth has always been considered a private affair. In the olden days, a midwife would come into an all women’s room while the men patiently waited outside. However, with stereotyped gender roles changing, fathers too have a part to play in childbirth.

This Kansas mother, Jes Hogan recently shared her birthing story. The just-in-time baby miracle was captured fully by the photographer, Tammy Karin of Little Leaping Photography.

1. Jes had been having contractions for many days before one day she realised that the baby was coming just then.

2. Her husband, Travis rushed her to the hospital, just in time to call the photographer to hurry over too. Just as they all reached, the baby decided to come out just then.

3. Jes began to take off her pants because she could feel her body pushing the tiny munchkin out. Just then she looked towards her husband and said, “Travis catch him.”

4. Of course, all this was happening right there on the hospital floor with Tammy yelling for the nurses while also snapping her camera away.

5. The photographs she captured were a mix of madness, pure bliss, and drama. But it was all worth it when the tiny tot was successfully delivered right there in the ER hallway.

6. Jes said, “It was my craziest birth, but also, the most perfect. It was not at all what I had planned, but it ended without any intervention, with a healthy baby, and amazing support people by our sides.”

7. That precious moment when you hold your baby for the first time.

8. Everything doesn’t usually go the way you’ve planned it, but things just work out, don’t they?

9. Childbirth is beautiful, raw and possibly the happiest day in a parent’s life.

10. It’s the beauty of life and getting a new person into the world.

11. The bundle of joy was named Max. Priceless, right?

12. The new mother also said, “It was beautiful and I’ll forever love every memory of it.”
