Under the cash-crunch and demonetisation effect, e-payment and e-wallets are the new fad for almost every possible payment. But ever thought someone writing a cheque for using a public toilet? OK! So that, too, happened!
Someone in Madurai used a public toilet and since s/he didn’t have change, wrote a ₹5 cheque to the ‘Public Toilet Madurai’.
This image was uploaded by a Facebook user, Brm Muralidharan, who wrote,
“Country moving towards ‘Cashless Economy.’ Payment made by cheque for Rs. 5 for using the Public Toilet in Madurai, TN. Goosebumps !!”
Well, we don’t know if it is a prank or this really happened! But whatever be it, we are cracking up at the thought of it. In some parts of India, the charges for using a public toilet are even as low as Rs 2. Imagine the possibility of a cheque for that.
