It is World Environment Day and we have to promise for a better and safe environment. That being said, there are many faces we see who campaign for a better world. Some faces we know, some faces we will get to know over the years. But amongst them, there are faces that are quite popular – our Hollywood and Bollywood stars.

When you are a celebrity, there’s also an additional responsibility and our favourite stars live up to that fully. They are people we look up to and are rightly using their celeb status in raising awareness about the environment.

1. Dia Mirza

She’s appointed as the brand ambassador for Wildlife Trust of India just a few days ago and has been in news for her efforts to protect the nature.

 

2. Leonardo DiCaprio

His passion for environment reflected fully, when he mentioned in his Oscar-winning speech, that climate change is for real and we need to act soon. And, he was he was declared the UN Messenger of Peace on Climate Change back in 2014.

 

3. John Abraham

His PETA shoot made quite a lot of waves, and John leaves no stone unturned to safeguard the environment and its inhabitants.

Be it his One Campaign or the work he’s done in Haiti or building eco-friendly homes for people affected by Hurricane Katrina, Brad’s name often crops up in the celeb-list who care deeply about humankind and the environment.

She uses Snapchat to spread message about safeguarding the environment and is doing her best to promote sustainable living in our country, Richa is taking steps in bettering the world, in her own righteous way.

 

6. Randeep Hooda

His passion for movies is known to all, and so is his passion for the environment. It was just the other day we spotted him cleaning Mumbai’s Versova beach. Randeep supports many causes and gives a part of himself to each initiative.

 

7. Gul Panag

You name it and she’s voiced her support for it. The dimpled beauty cares profusely about the environment and has her own foundation, The Col. Shamsher Singh Foundation, that works each day to protect the environment. Her ‘green home’ concept is a winner and solution for the future too.
