In-Laws Let Tantrik And Brother-In-Law RAPE His Newly-wed Bride, To Save Husband’s Life

Marriage is perhaps one of the most important day of a woman’s life and the first wedding night lays the foundation of the start of the intimate relationship between husband and wife. But, in today’s times the sanctity of the institution of marriage is getting lost with instances of dowry deaths and domestic violence coming to the fore.

In addition to this, the superstition that plagues the society makes the lives of women a lot more difficult. The women and even men are subjected to ridiculous customs in the name of superstition where fake Godmen play a crucial role in manipulating the blind faith instilled in them.

The bride was in a helpless state after consuming the drink and could do nothing to defend herself, while she was subjected to the disgusting crime. When she regained consciousness, she confronted her in-laws and the answer left her stunned.

As reported by Hindustan Times, her in-laws told her that the tantrik told them to do so because according to the tantrik, the husband of the victim would have died had he spent the night with her. They also told her that the tantrik informed them of hidden treasure under their house.

The victim returned to her family in Meerut where she shared her terrible ordeal and together they got a complaint registered in the Lisari gate police station in Meerut. Police said that in the FIR she has also accused her husband and in-laws of conspiring to get her raped.

We are living in the 21st century and still the faith in fake Godmen is stronger than ever. This is just one instance of a woman’s life put on stake because of greed and blind faith in the claims of tantriks. Has the society failed to evolve after all these years?
