Bobby Deol Says His Son Aryaman’s Good Looks Doesn’t Guarantee Bollywood Success

It is a common belief that people who are good looking have a better shot at an acting career. But if you are good looking plus you come from a filmy background (*coughs* nepotism) then toh wah bhai wah. It is a given that the person would land the hero’s role in a big banner film.

However, Bobby Deol is here to say that that’s not the case at all. Bobby, being the son of actor Dharmendra and the brother of Sunny Deol, suffered a massive decline in his Bollywood career. According to Hindustan Times, people have been complimenting his son, Aryaman Deol’s good looks and wondering if he would eventually become a superstar.

Putting an end to such conjecture, Bobby said that it doesn’t matter how Aryaman looks like because people used to say that to him too and look how his career turned out.

“When I was going to make my Bollywood debut, people used to say the same things to me, that he is good looking and he will be a superstar. But I know the reality. It doesn’t matter what you look like, if viewers want to see you they will. Nobody knows what’s gonna happen in the future. Definitely, his good looks are a plus point and I am very proud of it but there is no guarantee about what’s gonna happen in this industry.”

He further went on to highlight the importance of education for people aspiring to become an actor. Because if films don’t work out, then they’ll always have an alternative career option to fall back upon.

“I wanted my kids to complete their education first. My son is studying business management. I want him to complete his education and make up his mind so that even if he fails in the film industry, he can do something else. So it is very important for youngsters who can afford to complete their education, before becoming an actor because I am an example, I went through that being a star’s son.”

Those are some very wise words by Bobby!
