Recently, a 10-year-old girl from Bihar was spotted going to school on one leg. A video of the incident went viral. The girl, Seema, had met with an accident 2 years ago wherein she was hit by a tractor. The incident caused one of her legs to be amputated as the doctors couldn’t find any other way. She hails from the state’s Jamui district.
Her disability didn’t hamper her spirit. Instead, she hops to school every day which is over 500 metres away from her house, reported News18. People who watched her video showered her with love and lauded her dedication to her studies.

Thanks to the power of social media, Seema’s video grabbed the attention of the Bihar state education department. According to Jagran, they went on to provide the girl with a prosthetic leg, which would help her to walk without difficulty. This happened on Friday after her measurements were taken by the Bihar Education Project Council.

Earlier, the District Magistrate of Jamui, Avaneesh Kumar Singh, gifted a tricycle to the little girl. Responding to the help that was given to her, Seema said that she was “very happy and thankful”. She promised to work hard and fulfill her dreams of becoming a teacher.
