Identifying Indian spices and dals from each other can be difficult for someone who seldom pays a visit to their kitchen. And even for those who think they’re master chefs. This is where we tend to our moms and friends to take their expert advice and help determine which is what.
And like most of us, a woman was also left scratching her head when she saw saunf (fennel seeds) and jeera (cumin seeds) together.
Therefore, to save herself from embarrassment, she pinged her boyfriend on WhatsApp with the pictures of both condiments and asked him to help her identify which one was jeera.
Twitter user Sumit shared a screengrab of his partner’s messages to him where she shared pictures of saunf and jeera and asked him, ‘Jeera kaunsa hai?’
And like a gentleman, he helped her identify the seeds but also made fun of her for not being able to identify them herself.
