Banker Paras Shah Suspended From Office For Stealing Sandwiches From Staff Canteen

Remember that episode in ‘Friends’ in which Ross lost his complete cool when somebody stole his sandwich from the office fridge?

Yeah, something similar happened in real life.

According to a report by News18, a 31-year-old banker from Citigroup, Paras Shah, was suspended from office after he repeatedly kept stealing sandwiches from the staff canteen at Citigroup’s headquarters in east London.

Daily Mail reports that Shah is quite the “high-flying” banker with a seven-figure salary. He was suspended a few weeks before Citi’s senior staff were to get their annual bonuses.

He is also regarded as one of Europe’s highest-profile credit traders.

It is unclear how many sandwiches were stolen altogether or for how long this has been happening.

According to BBC, Shah probably earns more than £1 million a year which is approximately 9.2 Crores INR.

Doesn’t matter if it is just sandwiches. But the act of stealing at your workplace, or eating something from the canteen you don’t intend on paying for is petty and absolutely unacceptable behavior. People should do better.
