Taapsee Pannu & Amitabh Bachchan Starrer ‘Badla’ Trailer Is Both Cryptic And Captivating

I love Whodunnit thrillers. You know, movies which start off with a murder and then have us piece together clues before revealing the killer at the end. They enthral and keep us on the edge of our seats. And if you like them as much as I do, you’re in for a real treat. Because the trailer for Sujoy Ghosh’s directorial Badla just dropped and it is a gripping ride.

The film has Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. Audiences already had high expectations from this pair after watching ‘Pink’ and boy, they didn’t disappoint.

Amitabh Bachchan essays the role of Badal Gupta, a prestigious lawyer who hasn’t lost a single case in his 40-year career. The trailer starts with his signature baritone delivering an engaging line about revenge.

Taapsee Pannu is introduced as an entrepreneur who is found in a locked hotel room with the dead body of her lover.

And then the magic happens. Snippets of facts are revealed and instead of making the story clearer, they just keep adding to the ambiguity. Is Taapsee innocent? Or is she hiding something?

I don’t have the answers but I know that this isn’t your average murder mystery. More of a riveting plot with unknown elements that will keep us guessing until the very end. The nail-biting thrill escalates with every frame and the dialogues compliment it perfectly with more intrigue.
