Well, he has been making headlines after he posted a tweet saying that people get over loved ones so soon.

Soon after he posted this, ‘Shame on Asim Riaz’ started trending on the microblogging site. Let’s tell you why.

A while back, some videos of Indian actor and model Shehnaaz Gill have been doing rounds online wherein she was spotted dancing and having a gala time at her manager Kaushal Joshi’s engagement.

People online asumed that Asim’s tweet saying that ‘people get over loved ones so soon’ was to mock Shehnaaz who was finally trying to enjoy life and move on after the trauma she faced post the sudden demise of her alleged boyfriend, actor Sidharth Shukla.

This lead to an incessant amount of trolling by #SidNaz fans. ‘Shehnaaz You Go Girl’ also started trending with people online showering their support on the Punjabi actor.

Reacting to this, Shehnaaz’s dear friend Vikas Gupta penned a long post saying that ‘everyone has their own way of dealing with grief and hurt.’ He added:

As we enter this world it’s not just one relationship that you enter into thats your mother but then father your siblings grandparents relatives post which it’s the family you choose Your friends Your mentors. Sometimes we are closer to our one than our others, friends than siblings love isn’t and shouldn’t be dependent on any basis. When you loose any loved ones do you stop celebrating love from others. Loosing a family member doesn’t make you have bite of a cake from your best friends birthday party sometimes it’s cause it’s your fav choclate and you are hungry and sometimes it’s cause you don’t want your friend to feel bad. Life goes on and it should. #siddharthshukla isn’t here anymore life may not be perfect as it was when he was there for his loved ones and maybe it will take a long time. Pls remember Our lives are as important as the lives of our loved ones if not more.
The ones who can see #shehnaazgill dancing and smiling don’t really know that this laugh and this coordinated dance isn’t really her. I called her #khushi for a reason. She is doing so that she can make her friend’s smile and can be part of their Happiness as they were there for her loss and difficult times. (sic)

Soon after the backlash, Asim’s alleged girlfriend Himanshi Khurana came in his support asking haters to stop the ‘blame game’.

She tweeted:

She continuously penned a couple of tweets in support of Asim:

Even though Asim didn’t name anyone, he received a lot of hate with people giving their two cents on the matter. This is when the man himself decided to come out and post a clarification.

Asim finally stated that his cryptic tweet wasn’t directed towards Shehnaaz.

“Guys I got your attention and I think I need to clear this now. I lost one of my good friend last month from Jammu and few of my friends from the same group are partying right now in Goa. So, I was actually telling them not who you all are assuming and remember if I want to say anything I have those guts to come up say it directly. I have close ones too, I have my hommies around too. So, stop targeting, stop taking out loopholes and stop taking sympathy.”

Thankfully, this storm of accumptions came to an end. IMO, people really need to calm down a little. Don’t you think?
