The Internet is the only way to become an overnight success, only if you own a tea stall and look as dreamy the ‘Viral Chaiwala‘! Only a week after photographer Jiah Khan posted the picture of an 18-year-old Arshad Khan on Instagram, he has become a massive internet sensation.
In only a week’s time, Arshad Khan has hired his own personal advisor, a social media group, and a tour manager. Mid-Day called Arshad at around 9PM in Islamabad while he was resting. His advisor spoke to the executive and said,
Arshad Khan says that it was all very scary for him. His life changed so much after just one picture. Initially, when people would approach him for modeling assignments and acting offers, he felt like running away.
“I got scared when the media started following me. I thought I had done something wrong. So, I told some of them that I don’t wish to act in films or appear in ads.”
But now he understands that he had become a huge star and is ready to seize the opportunity that comes his way.
“Honestly, I want to become a model or actor since the opportunity has come knocking on my doors. My family supports my decision.”
Arshad says that he has received a couple of offers from Pakistani agents. Also, agencies from the US, UK, Germany and other South Asian countries have asked him to come on board. But Arshad hasn’t finalised anything as of now. He says that it is happening so fast that he feels lost.
“I have not been able to understand what has happened. Wherever I go, a crowd gathers and people start taking pictures. I am feeling a little lost”
Arshad’s newly appointed team is making a constant effort to groom him. They will make sure that he is ready to take on the world in no time. Rizwan, Arshad’s personal advisor says,
“Right now, he doesn’t have to worry about not being able to speak in English or operating a Twitter or Facebook account. We are there to handle all that.”
