Where should we start? This movie has all sorts of awesomeness in it!
The story is about the legendary footballer Pelé and his rise to greatness.
This movie, Pelé: Birth of a Legend, shows how a little boy from the slums of Bauru in the state of São Paulo became an international football legend through sheer practice and a never-say-die willpower. It was beause of Pele’s fluidic style of playing that the sport came to be known as “the beautiful game.” Pelé was the only player to help Brazil win three FIFA world cups: in 1958, 1962, and 1970.
The music is being composed by legendary Indian music maestro, A.R. Rahman.
With movies like Slumdog Millionaire and 127 Hours in his bag, A.R. Rahman is a stronghold in the World Music scene. And he gets better by the movie. Rahman travelled to Brazil to take in the culture and music of the locals, and he put it all in his new song, ‘Ginga,’ which he has composed in collaboration with Brazilian artist Anna Beatriz.
There is nothing in this movie that is below par. It’s going to be a kicker of a biopic! (see what I did there?)
You just keep climbing that ladder to greatness, Rahman!
