“Ranbir Adds Mirch-Masala To Stories And KJo Rents A Room For His Clothes,” Reveals Anushka

Anushka Sharma has been the talk of the town ever since she made her debut under the Yash Raj Banner. Time and again, Anushka has accepted that she takes life as it comes. She looks for roles that have depth and are strong, powerful female characters. The duration she gets to be on screen doesn’t really bother her.

While people achieve such a collective attitude later in their careers, Anushka has matured in only 8 years of her glorious career.

In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Anushka says that she leaves her set as soon as the director calls for ‘pack-up’. She says that the only thing she can’t compromise with, is her sleep.  

“Everyone who works with me knows that the one thing I can’t do without is my quota of sleep.”

 

During the conversation, Anushka also reveals that Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar are big time shopaholics. They would go on shopping bouts everyday and shop more than what Anushka and Aishwarya did!

“Karan had a separate room for his wardrobe. Yes, he had a room just for his clothes to be laid out; it was like a walk-in closet.”

 

Anushka recalls the first time she met Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir went on record to say that he was scared by Anushka because she made her debut under such a huge banner. To which Anushka says, 

“Ranbir has a habit of adding so much mirch-masala to stories.”

“We didn’t speak at all, also because I’m very shy and awkward with new people.”

 

The first time Ranbir and Anushka actually made small talk was during the time Ranbir complimented her on ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’. She says that she shares a very natural chemistry with Ranbir.

“Sometimes, you just click with some people. I think the two of us have a natural chemistry.”

 

Talking about her ambitions, Anushka said that she doesn’t pick up anything that comes her way. She has a very different approach to things and believes that she will never need to bring someone down to step up. 

“I’m ambitious, but I have principles when it comes to my ambition. I don’t believe that dhande me sab kuch chalta hai.”

“I don’t think that to look better myself, I can run down others. I cannot be so competitive that I harm someone else in the process.”

 

Anushka spoke on how her success hasn’t changed but improved her as a person. She says that it is very important for a creative person to have a perspective. And over time by keeping things in check, she has been able to accomplish that. 

From what we have always seen, Anushka Sharma never shies away from speaking her heart out. And yet again she wins us all over with her wit, charm and a cheerful attitude towards life and career.
