When restrictions are put in force, violators often come up with a jugaad for it. Hence, when the government imposed a ban on the sale and purchase of liquor across the country after coronavirus lockdown, some people started selling alcohol illegally. However, the cops soon came to know about this illegal trading and left no stone unturned to find the alcohol mafia.
Andra Pradesh government also seized liquor bottles worth Rs 72 lakh in different cases across the state. And yesterday, in a savage move, the Krishna district police were seen destroying all the 14,189 bottles of liquor by a road roller, reported NDTV.

Krishna district SP M Ravindranath Babu said, “Today we are destroying excise property seized in excise cases filed in the range of 10 police stations in the district. This is the property seized in 312 cases in the limits of 10 police stations.”
He added, “Legal process for ID (illicitly distilled) arrack and NDPL (Non-Duty Paid) liquor coming from neighbouring states caught since the imposition of lockdown is completed. Today 14,189 bottles of NDP liquor and 270 litres of ID arrack are being destroyed.”
