Andhra Politician Refuses To Pay Toll & Allegedly Slaps Employee, Faces Backlash Online

On December 10th, a video of a politician from Andhra Pradesh was shared online that enraged a lot of people. In the small clip, the woman, identified as Devalla Revathi, the chairperson of Andhra Pradesh Vaddera Corporation (YSRC) was seen manhandling a toll plaza employee.

According to The New Indian Express, the politician physically assaulted the man at Kaza toll plaza in Guntur district after he allegedly stopped her vehicle and asked her to pay the toll fee.

On being informed by the toll staff that her vehicle does not come under the provision that exempts the toll fee, the YSRC leader came down from her vehicle, forcibly removed the barricades, allegedly slapped a staff member, and then left the place without paying the toll.

However, after physically harming the staff, Revathi reportedly went to the Director-General of Police and complained against the toll plaza staff for their `misconduct and highhanded behavior’ towards her.
