Ananya Verma’s Mom cannot read or write. Her father is an assistant supervisor of sanitation at a university.

At a time when normal kids are still grasping how to write the alphabet and coherent words, Ananya is mastering simultaneous linear equations and trigonometry.

She can speak fluent Hindi and reads 9th standard textbooks easily. With the permission of the Education Department, she secured admission in St Meera’s Inter College in Lucknow

But the Verma household is no stranger to this genius. Ananya’s sister got admission into a PhD program when she was just 15. And her brother cleared BCA when he was 14.

Ananya’s sister Sushma cleared her 10th standard board exams when she was just 7 years old. She also completed her BSc by the age of just 13.

And if Ananya maintains her pace and clears the 10th standard exams before she is 7, she will get a place in the Limca Book Of Records!

Currently, her sister Sushma holds the record of “the youngest student to pass class X”.

Her father Bahadur has said that Ananya could read the Ramayana when she was just 21 months old.

Her school principal is also mighty impressed by the wonderkid.

“I asked her to read the newspaper and she did like an adult. Her grasping power is commendable. She learns just by seeing and reading,”

Ananya Verma’s parents have never forced her to study, all her need to study comes from her intense need to learn. It can be said that she enjoys learning.

We hope she breaks the record and grows in prosperity and intellect, which she surely will!
