Akshay Kumar Thanked Twinkle For His National Award And Her Reply Is Beyond AWESOME!

Akshay ‘Khiladi’ Kumar is one of the best Bollywood has. While critics and fans vouch/ cheer/ root for the same, the Gods of awards (read: the honourable juries) have not been very kind to him! So much so that, even his wife, Twinkle Khanna (my favourite Twitterati) mocked him about his award-less-ness the time they graced the couch on Koffee With Karan.

Well, times have changed, to say the least, and how! Thanks to the 64th National Awards, Akshay Kumar has been bestowed with the best actor award for ‘Rustom’ and the honour is unmatchable. 

The Khiladi recently took to Twitter to post a video full of gratitude, thanking his family, friends and his lovely wife, Twinkle for all the support! He joked,

“I will like to thank my wife Twinkle Khanna who used to tease me often as she said that its good that I have stopped attending award functions since I never returned with an award.”

And now, Twinkle being the proud wife she is, replied with every emotion she could think of!

That’s not all, Akshay also posed for an ‘hawww’ moment with ‘Padman’ co-star, Sonam who also won a national award for ‘Neerja.’
