3 Yrs After The Peshawar School Attack, This Kid Is Teaching Us A New Way To Live Life!

Three years ago on 16th December 2014, the world was shaken to its core when hundreds of innocent children were massacred in a school in Peshawar, Pakistan. The terror group ‘Tehrik-i-Taliban’ took responsibility for the attacks, wherein six gunmen barged into Army Public School and opened fire on unsuspecting faculty and children from ages 8 to 18.

Our skin crawled as we all sat in the safety of our homes watching news channels that ran the story. They all said that the gunmen went to the chairs where the kids ducked to save their lives and killed them in cold-blood.

However, this did not deter the students from pursuing their dreams. One such survivor, Ahmad Nawaz‏ took to his Twitter to share his perseverance for education even after losing his brother to the attack.

He also shared pictures of himself as well as his deceased friends to mark the day, and send a message to the world that their memories will never be forgotten.

The 16-year-old is now actively working towards his campaign for education and peace because he feels that the best method to challenge and curb terrorism is education.

His journey from that trauma to being one of the torch-bearers to spread the message of education among the youth, to steer them away from organised crime, is an inspiration to us all.
