Bollywood celebrities are often subjected to online trolling and Abhishek Bachchan is not new to it. Previously, when a man slammed him for having more followers than Prachi Desai, the actor responded with humility.
As per a report in HT, Abhishek has recently responded to other detractors with grace on Twitter. It all started when he posted a tweet displaying his excitement at the news of cinemas partially re-opening after months of lockdown due to Covid-19. He tweeted, “The best news of the week!!!!”.
The best news of the week!!!! 😁🕺🏽 https://t.co/ysKoB5RMs0

To this, a Twitter user who decided to troll him and mockingly implied that Bachchan will remain “jobless” even after theatres re-open.
But aren't you still gonna be jobless? https://t.co/npe28AqBsc

The 44-year old actor gave a fitting response to the troll, in his signature graceful manner.
That, alas, is in your (the audiences) hand. If you don’t like our work, we won’t get our next job. So we work to the best of our abilities and hope and pray for the best. 🙏🏽

Another Twitter user further asked how he managed to get movies after his 2008 film ‘Drona’:-
How did you get next movies after Drona? :/
— Abhishek Saha (@MrAbhisheksaha) September 30, 2020
Bachchan gave an honest response admitting that he was dropped from a few films after that and found it difficult to get cast. He followed it up with a classic reply of living in hope and “working towards our goals” because “nothing in life comes easy” and you have to “fight for your place”.
I didn’t. Was dropped from a few films and it was very difficult to get cast. But we live in hope and keep trying, hoping and working towards our goals. You have to get up everyday and fight for your place under the sun. Nothing in life comes easy. जब तक जीवन है , संघर्ष है।

Does the reverse work too? Like you'd have had raining offers post Guru, right?

Yes, by the grace of god and the audiences.

He responded to other comments as well from his followers who questioned his delight at the re-opening of cinemas amidst an ongoing pandemic, and also asked if he has “hash”:-
Just worried about your money.
Does not matter how many will die because of this— Amar Garg (@amargarg87) September 30, 2020
Yes, money is important. As it is for everybody. But also thinking for my lacs of brothers and sisters that work and live off our great film industry. Cinema’s opening with restart the turnstiles. @akshayerathi
