Abhinav Mukund does not need any introduction in the world of cricket. He plays for India A cricket team and was also hailed as an amazing player at the IPL. At the age of 25, he appeared in his 100th first class match.
Abhinav, who is now touring with Indian Cricket Team in Sri Lanka, took to Twitter to clap back at centuries old social evil – Racism.
This is an issue I have wanted to address for a while now. Finally got the chance to put it down [1/2]

He posted a powerful tweet about how being fair is not the “only lovely or handsome.”

A lot of people appreciated his stand against racism and they also identified themselves in his emotional post.
1. Manoj Tiwary appluaded him.

2. Ashwin also supported his stand.

3. True that!
Perfect.. the obsession with fair skin is something that irks and disappoints.

4. Couldn’t have said it better.

Since the beginning of time, people of the world have been plagued with the evil of racism. There are no two ways to say it, but the irrational thought of skin colour being the parameter someone, just sickens me!
If caliber was to be judged by colour, Usain Bolt would have never happened, Muhammad Ali would have never been a legend, and you won’t even know a PT Usha.
We stand by you, Abhinav. We hope your powerful words drill a hole in people, who have the audacity of mocking someone’s skin colour because they don’t have anything better to do with their time.
